Scrolling through my Barcelona photos, I re-discovered my photos from when we visited Jardins de Miramar.
And they are probably some of my most favourite photos I captured!
Back in September 2017, my best friend Becky and I went to Barcelona for a long weekend and as you can tell, it's been a fair bit of time since we went... so I thought it was about time I started to write up some posts!
The Miramar Gardens area an integral part of the Botanical Gardensof Montjuïc and are based on a large terrace with a long balustrade overlooking the port, from where you can see a beautiful panoramic view ofthe coastline. And when I say it's beautiful, it truly is!
It overlooks the Mediterranean and on the south-eastern slope of Montjuïc is the magnificent Costa Llobera Garden. The whole area is filled with plants from subtropical climates, the Hotel Miramar and lots of amazing views!
The gardens were designed for the celebration of the 1929 International Exposition.
You can get there by walking from the foot of Montjuic Mountain, or if you prefer, you can get the bus, in the funicular, or by taking the Aeri del Port cable car from the Barceloneta stop.
It was an area we discovered as we were on our Hop On Hop Off City Bus Tour and we thought the area looked so beautiful that we decided to get off and have a look. And I am so glad we did, as I got to have lots of fun with my camera!
So if you're planning on going to Barcelona any time soon, I highly recommend you having a walk around the Jardins de Miramar to just capture the beauty of Barcelona.
If you don't believe me, here's some photos:
Have you ever visited the Jardins de Miramar?
I will be featuring more posts on Barcelona, including a huge travel guide which is coming soon!
But for now, I thought I'd tease you with a sneak preview of one of the things I got up to!
