Happy Thursday guys!
What a long week it’s been…
I keep thinking today is Wednesday, which is completely throwing me off as there are lots of things I have to get done on Thursday’s at work.
I’m hoping this weekend will be good though, despite it being a busy one.
We finally have a date in the diary for a Northants Blogger meet-up, so it will be nice to mingle and catch up with lots of local bloggers, plus I am attending two events tomorrow!
And I’m currently writing this post, once again, in the same lunch spot I have whilst eating a pack of Mini Eggs, because that’s a nutritional lunch, right?
So what’s made me happy this week? And also, what blogs have I enjoyed reading this week? As that’s going to be a new edition that I’ve decided to add to these Thursday Thoughts posts as I want to spread the love!
I had a really exciting day on Saturday as I had my first ever blog shoot!
I haven’t had the confidence to step in front of the camera since my headshot days, so I was pretty nervous.
But I had nothing to worry about, as Tiffany made me feel so relaxed and not at all nervous or anxious.
I really want to get her back to Northampton and shoot some more pics of me and potentially some other Northamptonshire bloggers too and make a day of it.
So thank you, Tiffany! I was going to post one of the photos on this post, but I’m going to save them for future posts.
I can’t wait to share them with you all!
Oh gosh, I love this film.
It makes me so content and happy.
It’s a mixture of old-fashioned blogging, where you could just type away on a computer without worrying about SEO, photography, links and all the other stuff that makes blogging now – with cooking lots of tasty, yummy french food!
The film always sparks creativity in me and makes me wish I was living in Paris and blogging for a living!
Homemade ones, in fact, covered in chocolate butterflies!
Saturday night was spent with good friends, eating pizza, watching horror films and drinking cider.
I don’t enjoy going to the pub anymore, as I’ve recently found it boring and repetitive. It’s very rare that I hang out with friends at someone’s house over pizza and movies.
It’s a cheap night in and it’s actually far better to have a conversation with your friends without being interrupted by the noise at the pub.
I tried on the bridesmaid dress that I will be wearing to Louise’s wedding in August and it’s so pretty!
The wedding is approaching fast!
On Tuesday night, my parents and Josh’s mum and step-dad met for the first time.
My nerves were everywhere.
But it ended up being a really nice evening spent over plenty of wine, nachos and good conversation.
I CAN FINALLY SHOUT ABOUT THIS!!!
I can announce that I am going to Rome for my birthday with Josh!
I actually can’t believe I’m going to be in the most romantic city on earth with my favourite person.
I will be living out my Lizzie McGuire fantasy, taking too many photos and eating all the pizza, pasta and drinking all the wine possible.
I’m still looking for recommendations so HMU!
I’m making more of an effort to support local coffee shops in Northamptonshire, as opposed to getting takeaway coffee from Costa and Starbucks.
This is actually a post I am currently drafting and want to explore more, so if you’re based in Northamptonshire and have any suggestions on your favourite coffee shops in the area, HMU!
I have loved The Script’s music for a long time, but this week, I discovered a new song I have never heard before.
Never Seen Anything “Quite Like You”.
And I’m not gonna lie guys, I got emotional.
This song is the type of song I can imagine myself walking down the aisle to at my wedding…
*Okay stop, Nicole, you soppy git!*
But seriously… it’s a lovely song that gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling and I can’t stop listening to it.
I swear one week from another, I’m either saying I love or hate Instagram.
This week, I’m pretty loving it.
I’ve seen my following grow because I’m trying to make more effort in between working to engage with other bloggers and Instagrammers.
And I think it’s paying off, as one time, I gained 10 followers overnight, which is a lot for me in such a short space of time!
Hope you have a lovely rest of your week! Ciao!
