It’s beginning to look alot like Christmas…
Oh my goodness, when November 1st rolled around, I had one thing in mind: CHRISTMAS! Eeeeek!
As always, I will be shopping from local and independent businesses this Christmas and one of the best places to find unique gifts this year is from Christmas markets and shops in Northamptonshire.
Whether they are temporary pop-up shops, or markets running across the county all with an aim to ensure you find the perfect gift for someone you love (or for yourself, no judgment) then I’ve put together a Christmas Markets and Shops in Northamptonshire guide for you flick through with the all-important dates, times and locations.
Now let’s get excited by this list:
Brackley Christmas Market, Light Switch On & Lantern Parade
The annual event is coming back to Brackley Market Place organised by Brackley Town Council.
From 3pm, expect all the action to start on the piazza where there will be a range of craft stalls, home goods and festive food to tuck into, then from 5:30pm you can celebrate the festive season truly beginning with a dazzling light switch on that will light up the town centre.
You can also view the Christmas parade that will wander the town from 5:15pm ahead of the light switch on where you can also buy lantern packs to join in!
Saturday 27th November, Market Place, Brackley, NN13 7 – 3pm – 7pm.
Daventry Christmas Market
Save the date as Daventry Town Council are inviting everyone to their Christmas Market and Festivities on Saturday 27th November.
Expect a whole Christmas extravaganza where you can shop to your heart’s content for gifts from their Christmas market which will include a full line-up of independent festive stallholders that will be selling unique gifts, crafts and much more.
Don’t worry, there will be plenty of yummy hot food and drink to help tantalise your taste buds too! You can also expect Father Christmas and his reindeer friends too!
Children can also enjoy a snow globe experience and all ages will be able to enjoy a whole host of entertainment!
Saturday 27th November, Daventry High Street, NN14, 10am – 3pm
Wicksteed Park Christmas Craft & Gift Market
Ooooh anything organised by Wicksteed Park is bound to be a winner!
There is plenty to explore for all ages at Wicksteed Park and as always, they are bringing the goods this festive season by hosting a Christmas Craft and Gift Market.
You can expect over 60 stands of unique Christmas crafts, gifts, artisan foods and more – already a whole host of small local businesses are expected to attend, including Bella’s Fudgery, 196 Jewellery Design, Cleopatra Costemic Boutique and many more! You can keep up to date on their Facebook page.
Saturday 20th from 10:30am – 5pm and Sunday 21st November 10:30am – 4pm with £3 entry for adults and children enter for free.
Brackley Country Market – A Taste of Christmas
A separate event for you to fill your festive boots with this Christmas happening at Brackley Library by Brackley Country Market who invite you to come along and sample the wonderful goodies they have on offer.
You can put your orders in for some lovely freshly baked goods in the run-up to the big day, plus there will be a Christmas fundraiser raffle where money will be going towards MacMillian and the Brodie Centre where you can enter for a chance to win a beautiful traditional rocking horse or a Disney Bambi.
Expect festive bakes, handcrafted goodies, Christmas presents, local honey and much more.
Friday 19th November, Brackley Library, Manor Road, NN13 6AJ, 10am – 12pm
Wootton Community Centre Christmas Fair
Come along to the Christmas Fair organised by Wootton Parish Council at Wootton Community Centre!
Expect plenty of stallholders (which is not fully booked by the way) with lots of Christmas gift inspiration to get you spending on local goodies in the run-up to the big day.

The Little Pocket Studio Pop-Up Christmas Shop
The Little Pocket Studio is opening up it’s very own Christmas Shop for the season and it’s the perfect place to find some truly small and independent businesses to support.
The Little Pocket Studio is known for being an excellent place for small businesses to use as a studio for photography and videography, but the shop will be open from 9th November where you can shop till your heart’s content for 7 days a week!
Expect small businesses from beauty products for both male and females, Christmas crackers, eco-friendly gifts, cards, stockings and much more – there are new businesses being announced on their Instagram page.

Hobbs Christmas Market on the Decking
Why not shop for your local & independent Christmas goodies and grab a coffee too!
Hobbs Coffee Bar will be letting out their decking to a variety of local, small and independent businesses who will be showcasing their products. Businesses already announced include Brodersens Bageri with their Danish pastries, Neals Yard skincare, Sensational Scents for all your home fragrances and plenty more.
It’s a great little spot where you can meet friends over lovely refreshments too!
Saturday 27th November, Hobbs Coffee Bar, Swinneyford Road, Towcester, 9am – 2pm
Christmas Fair at Chester House Estate
For the first time ever, the newly opened Chester House Estate will be hosting a Christmas Fair!
Expect local artisans, food & drink, handmade crafts and gift cards, antiques and vintage and so much more!

Christmas at the Depot
Hosted by Roman Way Brewery and Royal Ordance Depot, The Christmas market is expected to be full of local businesses showcasing their gifts and products all whilst you can enjoy a beverage from the brewery itself!

Delapre Abbey Christmas Fair
Why not visit the magical ground of Delapre Abbey for all your Christmas shopping?
Open on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th, this is your opportunity to enjoy a great day out for all the family at their annual Christmas Fair. This year, they’ll be joined by a Victorian horse and carriage offering festive rides around the grounds.
Whilst you’re there, you can pick up unique, handmade gifts from a variety of carefully selected stalls in the inspiring surroundings of the historic Abbey along with lots of food and drink, children’s activities, plus the historic house dressed for Christmas – it will be SO festive!
This event will be £1 for entry and there will be timed entry times from 10am – 4pm – you can purchase your tickets here.
Saturday 27th November, Delapre Abbey, London Road, Northampton
Courteenhall Christmas Fair
A picturesque location for all your Christmas shopping.
Set in the stunning grounds of Courteenhall Estate, there is a Christmas fair that is suitable for all ages which will be another great opportunity to tick off your list and support local businesses too!
You can expect a Santa grotto experience for children and you can even bring back your very own Nordman Fir’s Christmas trees, plus plenty of stores for your shopping needs.
Tickets cost £4 for entrance fee if pre-booked in advance, or £5 on the day (card only) but children under 12 go for free. Check it out here.
Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th November, Corteenhall Estate, NN7 2QD, 11am – 7pm
Flore Christmas Market
Organised by KBs Craftycreations, you can expect various Christmas crafts and gifts at this market from personalised sacks, stockings, baubles and more.
