Hands up who loves Afternoon Tea as much as I do!
There’s something about Afternoon Tea that is really special to me. I don’t have it often (obviously not, because I would be as big as a house!) But when I do, it’s always often because it marks a special occasion. But if not marking a special occasion, you can’t help but think you’re really fancy when having afternoon tea.
But sometimes, it’s not always possible to go out and get an afternoon tea. Sometimes it can be horrendous weather that puts you off from going outside, maybe you don’t have the capabilities to actually take someone to an Afternoon tea, or perhaps you feel uncomfortable going to a fancy restaurant or hotel to have an afternoon tea.
What if you could enjoy an Afternoon tea delivered straight to your door for you to have from the comfort of your own home and you don’t have to wash up! Thanks to the Copper Kitchen, based in Northampton – now you can!
Gemma from The Copper Kitchen is offering her travelling Afternoon Tea services across Northamptonshire for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion from home, host a party, or perhaps you have a baby shower, engagement or something else to celebrate and you’re looking for someone to do all the work for you.
Basically, she brings the whole party to you!
As Mother’s Day is coming up, Afternoon tea felt like the perfect feast to tuck into with my mum and being able to do it all from home was a blessing. Here’s what we had during our experience and what was included in ours:
Gemma was kind enough to deliver everything to me on the Friday night before we had our Afternoon tea and she delivers EVERYTHING you could possibly need. From the tablecloth and different vintage linen, the cutlery including cups, saucers, eating cutlery, plates, milk jug, sugar bowl, water cups and she even brings the three-tiered cake stand and vases with fresh flowers in!
And of course, she provides all the food you ever want. Gemma was great at asking me whether my mum and I had any allergies if we had any preference for cakes, flavours and whether we wanted anything additional.
On this occasion, I set up the table myself as I wanted to make it special for my mum, but Gemma at The Copper Kitchen can do all this for you to save you the hassle.
I had a lot of fun setting up the table for my mum, as I wanted the final look to be a surprise. I had everything and more I could possibly want to help me set up and I couldn’t help but admire all the vintage cups and the beautiful vintage tea pot she brought round!
All the food was magnificent and I did wonder how both my mum and I could eat it all! We had a selection of sweet and savoury treats such as vanilla macaroons, vanilla bean and lemon drizzle cupcakes, cheese twists, sausage rolls and strawberries.
She even provided us with sandwiches on brown bread, which she asked whether we had a preference of, so we chose smoked salmon and cream cheese and egg and cress. Finally, we were also provided with plain scones and a tub of jam and clotted cream – which obviously finishes off a perfect afternoon tea.
The attention to detail the Copper Kitchen goes into for the whole set up and the presentation of the food was extraordinary. Obviously, we made our own tea using the teapot, which was nice that we could have our own input to what we wanted too!
And top of all that – all the food was delivered fresh and ready to eat and it was all bloody delicious.
The highlight for me was those dreamy green macaroons, which just melted in our mouths and were so creamy but crumbly all at the same time. I also had far too many scones (cream first, then jam!)
I really can’t thank Gemma at the Copper Kitchen enough for all she put into this Afternoon tea for us – it was the most fun I’ve had on a collaboration as I found myself getting so creative with everything, but overall, it was such a special occasion to have with my mum who enjoyed everything too.
I honestly think an Afternoon Tea delivery service in Northampton has been well needed and I am so glad The Copper Kitchen are able to provide this! The Copper Kitchen also provides celebration cakes for weddings, engagements and birthdays, sweet treat boxes and of course, afternoon tea!
The Afternoon Tea delivery service is £15 per person, with a small charge for delivery outside a 5-mile radius from her.
